Kozhikode Wins Again… 23 Jan, 2011
Kozhikode District has emeged as the Champions of 51st School Kalolsavam with 817 points. It is the fifth time in a row that the Kozhikode wins the Championship. Trissur District, the forth coming host of Kalolsavam secured the second place with 776 points. Kannur in third with 767 points, Palakkad is in fourth with 763 points, Ernakulam in fifth with 735 points and Kottayam is in sixth spot with 729 points. Durga H.S.S, Kanjangad, from Kasargod District won the overall championship with 222 points. The school has got the first position in the higher secondary school kalolsavam and second position in High School Kalolsavam in the point level. M.K.N.M.H.S, Kumaramangalam, Idukki has come up to the second level in the point tally. St. Theresa’s won the overall championship in the High School Category. Trissur, Kannur, Palakkad, and Malappuram shared the first place in Arabic Kalolsavam with 95 points. Kasargod secured the second place with 92 points. Trissur and Eranakulam shared the trophy for Sanskrit Fest with 93 points. Chief Minister V. S Achuthanandan inaugurated the valedictory function held at the main venue in Kottayam. M. A. Baby, Education Minister presided over the function and K. J. Yesudas handed over the golden cup to the winners. |
